The mission was clear: to develop a striking eyecatcher for the Zafira B which not only looks good but also improves the driving properties of the new Steinmetz Zafira B. All while taking into account the dynamic form of the Zafira B, which must remain sporting and elegant. The result is the Steinmetz Zafira B which, with its unique appearance, offers plenty of driving pleasure whether carrying seven or being driven by the head of the house alone.

Engine:
The heart of the engine tuning is the power increase for the 1.9 CDTI engine. Instead of the usual 150 HP, it now develops an impressive 175 HP and the torque has risen from 240 Nm to 300 Nm. The changes to the engine management system naturally lead to improved driving performance: 201 km/h top speed instead of 198 km/h. This performance is achieved by an extra control unit which can be fitted by a specialist within half an hour. Naturally we've ensured that the performance upgrade can be fitted to vehicles both with and without particle filter - in all cases complying with Euro 4 standard.

In all our performance upgrades we pay particular attention to a substantial increase in torque over a wide rev band.

The Steinmetz trademark is the high gloss polished, trapezoid twin tailpipe rear silencer which was developed exclusively for the Zafira B. A sonorous note and superb fit are key characteristics of the Steinmetz silencer. The exhaust gases are directed downwards so that even in vehicles without particle filter, the back remains clean.Lowering:
Safety and uncompromising driving pleasure took priority in the set-up, even for when the Zafira is fully laden. Both the standard suspension and the IDS suspension with Sport Mode were taken into account. The Steinmetz springs lower the centre of gravity of the Zafira, reducing its tendency to roll on cornering and allowing faster direction changes. The road becomes a driving experience, and it's not only the driver who won’t want his journey to end!

Wheel/tyre combination:
A large part of the Zafira B's sporting appearance is down to the Steinmetz alloy wheels in two different designs. Firstly the Type ST1 with closed spokes, and secondly the Type ST3 available for the 19" wheel in silver and in Shadow silver. All wheel/tyre combinations given can be fitted with 30 mm track adapters (per axle) without additional bodywork modifications. Steinmetz recommends tyres by Michelin or Continental.

8.0J x 17“ with 215/45 R 17

8.0J x 18“ with 225/40 R 18
8.0J x 19“ with 225/35 R 19

Bodywork/Aerodynamics:
On the Zafira B, selected bodywork sections have been enhanced by the Steinmetz engineers and designers with supplementary components. The front features the characteristic honeycomb front grille with the Steinmetz logo. In conjunction with the front spoiler, this gives the Zafira B a more purposeful look and a more striking appearance. For good visibility to the rear, the electrically adjustable and heated Steinmetz sports mirrors have been adapted to the form of the Zafira. The high level brake light at the roof of the Steinmetz Zafira is framed by a two-piece roof spoiler which improves aerodynamics and increases downforce. The overall appearance is completed by the designer stripes available in anthracite and silver.Interior trim:
What is pleasing to the eye externally must also please from inside. On first entering the car, you notice the door sills enhanced with the Steinmetz sill trims and the foot mats with the Steinmetz stainless steel logo. For the driver, there are various aluminium components which further enhance the interior. An aluminium cover has been designed for the handbrake handle newly restyled by Opel, and there is also a new aluminium gear knob which fits perfectly in the hand for smooth gear changes. The interior finish is completed by the 3-piece aluminium pedal set and the aluminium foot rests.
